Directions:
I-95 to Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Head east until you get to Flagler Drive. The path runs from this area south through the downtown skyline of West Palm Beach.

This trail is a wide sidewalk that is separated from auto traffic. It parallels the Intercoastal Waterway through the downtown skyline area of West Palm Beach.

South of the Flagler Bridge, the street becomes South Flagler Drive. Here the trail arches out into the Intercoastal Waterway (this body of water is known as "Lake Worth") near Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach.

The path offers great views of the downtown skyline.

From the trail you can easily see the Flagler Bridge (a drawbridge), which is the northernmost bridge leading to Palm Beach ("The Island".) To get to the bridge, simply look for the interchange where Quadrille Blvd. meets Flagler Drive.

There is a sidewalk on the Flagler Bridge (Quadrille Blvd.) that easily takes you over to Palm Beach. Here you see the sidewalk as it appears going over the bridge (looking east to Palm Beach with the drawbridge "up".)
Once you get over the bridge, to your immediate left (north) is the start of the Palm Beach Lake Trail, which may be the nicest urban trail anywhere. Click here to see pictures of the Palm Beach Lake Trail.
